At the beginning of each year, I make it a habit to reflect on my personal style, and create a few “style goals”. This year, I’m foreseeing a lot of neutrals in my closet. Black, grey, cream, olive, and whiskey hued accessories, sprinkled here & there. And if I can take a moment to be candid (because when am I not) jumping back on the “fashion bandwagon” after a miscarriage can be hard. I gained a total of 15 pounds with my pregnancy and my hormone levels have been anything but co-operative (basically, they’re almost non-existent) which hasn’t helped my weight loss efforts in the slightest. So currently, my black midi dress, boyfriend jeans and palazzo pants are the only things that fit, oh and my trusty leggings of course.
But hurdles aside, I’m making the best of my closet, going to the gym 4 x a week and I’ve started a healthy eating plan. Also, my new Zara top is definitely helping amp up my fashion game and I loved pairing it with my boyfriend jeans for today’s post + can’t wait to pair it with my black pencil skirt / killer heels, or my cropped black palazzo pants / stiletto booties. Ah, remixing, makes my heart so happy! And if you’re looking for that special tweed piece for your own wardrobe?! I love this one from Rebecca Taylor (it’s on major sale), this one is incredible too and if you’re on a budget? You can’t go wrong with this one for $22. Steal!
And last but not least, March 3rd friends, I’m booked with my hairstylist and going blonde, blonde. I usually opt for ombre, but this time around, I’m doing a full head of highlights. Here’s what I’m thinking – sooo darn excited!! xo
Outfit details: Top Zara (sold out, but here’s a similar one for $22), American Eagle Jeans (similar), Daniel Wellington Watch c/o, Rebecca Minkoff Bag (love this years style & want, want it), H&M Loafers (love these embroidered ones from ASOS)
