One of my readers (she has the cutest insta by the way) asked if I felt the need to change my style because I changed my hair?! The answer is yes. With my long hair… I felt inspired for flowy tops and skinny jeans as well as soft feminine dresses. But now, I’m craving more edge, monochrome hues and modern silhouettes. With that said, I’m excited to see how my closet will take shape over the coming months. Also, if my hair’s looking a little more reddish in these pics?! It’s because we shot during golden hour and I was lit by the most gorgeous sunset. The second pic – is far more accurate. FYI!
And you guys, my new Zara moto jacket, is everything! I bought it right after my hair update and have been wearing it non-stop. It’s the perfect piece to help give edge to my more feminine clothing pieces – a juxtaposition I love! And what’s that now? Me, in a tee?! Yup that’s right friends… your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I never wear tee’s, well OK, maybe to bed or the gym. But I grabbed this one from Zara and I’m into it! Thinking I’ll go back for a black and white one too. I feel like it’s the perfect basic and love the slightly more masculine vibe. I also tried on this Madewell tee and loved it + this Gap tee is great as well.
And in other news?! I’ve finally shed most of my pregnancy weight. Yay! However, I’m still hoping to knock off another 10 pounds. I know it’s important to accept our bodies the way they are… but I just feel healthier + have more energy when I’m slimmer. I’ve been sticking to lean protein (mainly fish, chickpeas and a plant based protein supplement), veggies, yams and a piece of fruit when I’m craving dessert. It’s honestly doing wonders for my waistline. Hope to write a post about it soon and share a more in-depth overview. Wishing you a fabulous day ahead friends!! xo
