With a looming birthday in July… I’ve been taking my skincare very seriously lately. This year, I’m definitely starting to notice fine lines creeping in and I’m doing everything I can to feel my best + keep my skin looking healthy. One thing that’s been helping a lot, outside of skincare, is my diet (I’ve been following this), getting 30-45 minutes of cardio 3x a week and taking pause on alcohol. Don’t I sound fun?! But in all seriousness, with my health issues, it’s probably wise to cut my drinking as much as I can and put my health first.
One product in particular I’ve been loving and testing is the EGF Serum from BioEffect. My girlfriend swears by it and I can see why. My fine lines have been substantially reduced, my skins overall texture has improved, and my very dry skin is feeling hydrated. EFG is a plant-based protein, which interestingly enough, signals the receptors in your skin to rejuvenate cells and stimulate them to work. This month, I’ve also enjoyed trying the newly launched Eau Thermale Avène Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum and Eau Thermale Avène Thermal Spring Water both of which are aimed at hydrating thirsty skin and leaving it glowing and plumped. Two words every girl wants to hear!! Typically I use my Serum in the morning right before I apply my daily moisturizer, and then I spritz my spring water to refresh my skin through out the day & night. Loving both and excited to keep them stocked in my beauty arsenal.
Another fave, or who am I kidding… more like mild obsession!! 😉 Are my Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments from Fresh. I’ve swabbed both the Rose and Nude for you above and as you can see they’re such pretty/sheer colours. My fave! They contain SPF 15, moisture-preserving sugar, and nourishing precious oils like black currant and grapeseed oil. Not to mention, they smell incredible and I feel like I’m giving my lips a mini spa treatment as well as gorgeous colour.
And last but not least, I’m loving the Essence Bronze Eyeshadow Palette (this is my second time purchasing it) and can’t believe it’s well under $10. I find the shadows creamy, easy to apply and they have great pigmentation. If you’re looking to update your palette? I can’t recommend this one enough + they have a slew of gorgeous colours. I also love their nude palette! As for nails? I’ve been wearing my two faves religiously this spring. First up is #229 Creme de la Creme (here’s a pic of it on) and #234 Plush Blush (here’s a sample of that one too). One thing I will point out is that Creme de la Creme applies a little streaky, but it’s easily solved with a third coat, and then I finish off with my Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat. If you’re curious… I usually get about 5-7 days wear with my Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish and I’m quite hard on my hands. Thanks for reading friends and if you have any questions about the products?! Leave me your question in the comments and I’ll respond ASAP! xo
