Happy (almost) holidays friends! We’re so close!! Martin & I are taking our usual two weeks off and I can’t wait. Also, if you caught Tuesday’s “How To Shop Your Closet” post?! Then you know, I’ll be doing a shopping freeze over January / February. I’m slowly gearing up for it and feeling confidant I’ll be able to tackle the beast. In preparation, I’ve diligently styled several outfits I love and can’t wait to share them with you over the coming months. You can expect to see lots of remixes + I hope you’ll feel inspired to consume a little less, or at least, feel inspired to remix your own wardrobe staples!
So yes, the no spend challenge. Basically, for the next two months, we’ll be giving ourselves 100$ of spending money per week. It’s a substantial cut for us, since usually, we’re closer to $800. Our new allotted amount, will cover 1 dinner out, a coffee date or two, and that is all. We’ll be omitting all home, clothes and luxury goods spending. I’m excited! Or perhaps, I’ve just lost my mind! 😉 But in all truth, I have a huge passion for finance & investing and I’m happy to choose that over a $5,000+ bag any day. But don’t worry, I’m no saint, I have my vices too!
Outfit wise?! This has pretty much been my uniform all December long. I wore it for a dinner out, a meeting, an Xmas gathering and a coffee date. While some gals, might love a million choices, I’m learning, I’m definitely a less is more kinda gal! There’s comfort in not having to use your brain when you’re rushing out the door. Brainless dressing, who’s with me? Haha! Also, if you’re looking for your own wool coat? I love this one from J.Crew, or this one from ASOS! And Banana Republic has the most perfect black sheath dress at the moment, as does Nordstrom. Lastly, my booties are from Old Navy and are such a steal!
